Spanish Language Educator &
Educational Program Designer
Miriam Hernández is an experienced educator with many years of experience teaching children, middle and high school students, college students, and adult professionals in both online and in-person settings.
​
She specializes in Spanish as a second language and is passionate about helping students become confident communicators. Her teaching goes beyond vocabulary and grammar. She creates lessons that encourage students to speak, think, ask questions, solve problems, and use Spanish in meaningful, real-life situations.
​
Throughout her teaching career, Miriam has designed and developed educational programs for students with different ages, levels, learning styles, and goals. She has successfully prepared students for AP Spanish, with many students achieving strong results on the AP exam. She also organizes and leads conversational learning experiences that give students opportunities to practice Spanish in a supportive and engaging environment.

Through her work with NovaLingua Academy, Miriam has contributed extensively to the development of educational programs, learning activities, and instructional strategies. She has experience coordinating educational teams, supporting other educators, adapting instruction to different learning environments, and using digital platforms to deliver effective online learning.

Josh
Math & Spanish Tutor
Josh is a dedicated and experienced youth educator with several years of experience working with children in both academic and recreational settings.
​
His experience includes working with Kumon, where he supported students in developing their mathematics skills, as well as serving as a Camp Counselor in Maryland, where he supervised groups of children, organized activities, collaborated with staff, communicated with families, and helped create a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
​
Josh has also gained valuable experience through his work with NovaLingua Academy, supporting both online and in-person instruction and contributing to the development and organization of educational programs and learning activities. Through NovaLingua, he has developed experience adapting instruction to different learning environments and helping create engaging educational experiences for students.
​
These experiences have helped Josh develop strong skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, creativity, organization, responsibility, problem-solving, and working with children of different ages and learning needs.
​
At NovaLingua Academy, Josh provides Math and Spanish support for children from age 4 through middle school, helping students strengthen foundational skills, understand challenging concepts, complete schoolwork, and build confidence in their abilities.

His teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and engaging. Josh believes that children learn best when they feel supported, comfortable asking questions, and confident in their ability to improve.

Mrs. Rebeca C. is a highly experienced educator and mathematics specialist with many years of experience teaching and supporting students from elementary school through high school.

She has a strong academic background in Mathematics and extensive experience helping students develop solid mathematical foundations, improve their academic performance, and gain confidence in their abilities. Her areas of instruction include elementary mathematics, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and advanced academic support.

For many years, Mrs. Rebecca has been part of NovaLingua Academy, where she has demonstrated the effectiveness of her teaching methods through consistent academic progress and positive results among her students. She works successfully with both individual students and groups, adapting her instruction to different ages, learning styles, abilities, and academic needs.

One of her greatest strengths is her ability to connect with students who may need additional patience, structure, encouragement, or a different approach to learning.
